the skinny:

advertising rates are simple : all advertising is FREE. sounds too good to be true? it is, there's a catch (isn't there always?) : we design your ad.

wow, free design and advertising? it's a little more complicated than that. we design your ad the way we want to. we're not going to use your logo. we might use such info as location, store hours, phone number, website, etc. if you don't like the ad when we've gotten our grubby hands on it? fear not, we just won't run the ad.

why such odd stipulations? the reason this policy is the way it is : our contributors and designers are usually professional graphic designers and students who have to deal with client input all day from people who are paying big bucks for advertising and design. we do this for fun and to eleviate the headache of "approval" we remove the cost factor giving our people the chance to spread their wings a bit, so to speak. to be a little more creative.

but, in return you get a swell-looking ad for free and some free advertising. we're looking for some real companies like music shops, book stores, gas stations, etc. to do some work for. let's just say we need the experience.
